Travel Warning to the Occupied Territories of
the Republic of Azerbaijan
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan warns
citizens and permanent residents of the
Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and
Republic of Iraq
not to visit the occupied territories of the
Republic of Azerbaijan. The Nagorno-Karabakh and
adjacent seven regions of the Republic of
Azerbaijan are currently under the illegal
occupation by the Republic of Armenia.
The regulations of the Republic of Azerbaijan
prohibit a visit to the occupied territories of
the Republic of Azerbaijan without consent of
Azerbaijani authorities. Further, obtaining a
so-called visa or stamp of self proclaimed
“Nagorno-Karabakh Republic”.
Without the explicit consent of and a visa
issued by the authorities of the Republic of
Azerbaijan, a person, who made/makes such a trip
to the occupied territories of the Republic of
Azerbaijan, will not be granted a visa to the
Republic of Azerbaijan and will be deported in
case of his/her future entrance.
Jordan and Iraq citizens should obtain a visa
through diplomatic missions of the Republic of
Azerbaijan to enter the territory of the
Republic of Azerbaijan.
